Projects

Jared Ice is active in many projects within the opera world outside of his role as a singer. He created the Sex, Drugs, and Opera podcast, an opera podcast that has been downloaded over one million times. He has also founded the Darmstadt Men’s Choir, and the Darmstadt English Choir as part of his Community Choir Project. Beyond the arranging of choral music for his choirs, Jared is also active as a composer, and recently debuted his song cycle “Words of Reason” at Staatstheater Darmstadt in Darmstadt, Germany.

Jared Ice was part of the founding team of Künstlermeile, a musical agency which created small and large scale classical music events from 2013-2017. Along side his work at Künstlermeile, Jared founded Towermint Studios, a concert-planning agency which shared an emphasis in sound-design and audio-branding, for local companies. In 2020-2022, during the global pandemic, Towermint Studios branched out into media production to help fill the sudden need for digitalization in Darmstadt. During this time, the company assisted clients in navigating the multi-discipline world of media production by designing effective projects that utilized a global network of freelance specialists. Towermint Studios organized projects ranging from the creation of corporate training videos, and live-stream events, to 3D animations, and multi-lingual voice overs. Since 2023, the company has shifted its focus back to event management and music publication.

Jared is also active as an instructor, and regularly gives voice and piano lessons out of his studio in Darmstadt Germany.
